Year 7 STEM Event

Year 7s built a “roller loader” using limited materials. They had to construct a track that would keep a marble moving for as long as possible using only gravity.

Year 7 students spent the morning taking part in STEM events run by Automate BEST.

They started off with an introduction to Automate BEST and the STEM day, followed by an industry talk by a guest engineer.

Students then took part in a STEM challenge by making an eco-factory roller loader, before pitching their models.  The day concluded with a careers talk by Automate BEST and prize giving.

Thank you to Mr Norris, KSHS STEM Lead and the staff for organising and supervising the event.  Look out for more photographs in the next Newsletter.
