Message from Russell Smith, Head of Sixth Form at Carre's:
As we close the door on January, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been an exceptionally productive and inspiring month for our Sixth Form community. It’s been a whirlwind of academic planning, future-focused ambitions, and selfless community spirit.
We’re proud to announce that Carre's Grammar School has been recognised once again in the top 10% of all FFT schools nationally for attendance (2025–26).
Hear from Daniel, one of our Sixth Form students, about his visit to Number 10...
It is with mixed emotions that I am letting you know that at the end of this academic year, after over 18 years as Headteacher at Carre’s Grammar School, and 11 as the Executive Headteacher of the Robert Carre Trust, I have accepted a new opportunity within the Community Inclusive Trust as Director of Secondaries, a position that will allow me to support and strengthen secondary education across the Trust.
Our Year 10 students have been refining their design and manufacturing skills during DT lessons.
