Year 7 Reading Challenge

Published: 2020-07-10 09:02:00 | Category: LRC

Every Summer term, Carre’s Grammar School invites the new Year 7 students to take part in a Summer Reading Challenge. The aim is to document any books that each student reads between now and September, along with a comment about what they thought about them. The more books that each student reads, the more housepoints (and maybe even a prize!) they will receive when they start in September.

Please click here to view the LRC page of the school website where your son can download the the Reading Challenge Form, a recommended reading list and details of an Extreme Reading competition.

It would be fantastic if you could encourage your son to take part as it is a brilliant way of instilling the importance of reading during the transition period of Primary to Secondary School.

Any completed forms and competition entries should be brought into school during the first week back. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at Carre’s.
