4 boys teams and 3 girls teams competed in the first ever U13 limited LTA rating School County finals, at Eastgate Tennis Club, having qualified from a series of leagues run by the School Sports Partnerships across Lincolnshire.

The boys from Carre’s Grammar School (above), Sleaford won the event with victories against Skegness Grammar, Branston Community College and Queen Elizabeths, Gainsborough.

The girls event was exceptionally close with two of the fixtures needing a count-back of games to separate teams level on 3 matches each. Kesteven and Sleaford girls missed out by one game on both occasions losing 19 – 18 to Queen Elizabeth’s, Gainsborough and 20-19 to Bourne Grammar School.

In the end it was the Bourne Grammar School team that was victorious.
