GIANT Orchestra Day - Tuesday 2 July 2024
We are excited to invite musicians to Carre’s Grammar School for the relaunch of our ‘Giant Orchestra Day’ on Tuesday 2 July 2024.
Our annual Giant Orchestra Day will be held on Tuesday 2 July 2024.
We will be joined by musicians from schools and other musical groups from the local area, getting together to play in one Giant Orchestra.
This year we will be playing two pieces (from the BBC Ten Pieces project): Ron Grainer and Delia Derbyshire’s theme tune for Dr Who, and ‘Finalandia’ by Sibelius.
We will also be playing a movement from a symphony composed by one of our own Y10 students and ‘I Feel Good’ by James Brown.
